Showcase - The Dark Storm [Webplayer]

Hi all! I made this a while ago and I thought I’d show it here. Originally I was working on a sci-fi horror shooter but that turned into a zombie shooter. This was one of my early mockups of one of the scenes for the sci-fi shooter and I also made it as a learning project. So while this probably won’t ever become a full playable level any time soon, I can still re-use the assets and use what I learned from it. Recently I took a look at the scene again and decided to upgrade it a bit so I added some stuff (I’m quite pleased with how the waterfall turned out) and well here it is. As it is this is just a very small environment who’s sole purpose is to look purty, show off what Unity can do. Oh yeah, this is Unity Free by the way.

As nice as screenshots are it’s not the same as the actual thing so here’s the webplayer.
Dark Storm

WASD to move, space to jump, LMB to shoot, R to reload, F for flashlight.
Most of the stuff in the scene was made by me (except the gun, that’s just a placeholder).

Note: There are some minor graphical issues here and there, nothing too major but they’re there so please excuse them. They were there before I started re-working the scene but it’s not important enough to be worth the hassle

I Played it and was very impressed!! nice work…hey where did you get the place holder for the gun? Im trying to learn unity as well and just want any type of gun to put into the game until i model my own.

not bad, try working on enemy’s, and adding bulletholes, very easy to do. also
maybe work on the bullet sparks. change the size of them? good work

Thanks! Yeah Im not a programmer unfortunately so doing that kind of stuff is a bit beyond me. The weapons stuff is from Dastardly Bannana’s weapon package and the gun was just a placeholder. This was just a walkthrough, not supposed to be any gameplay (I wish tho!).
@TeamWhiteSnow
Yeah the gun placeholder I downloaded it for free on Turbosquid.com. I had to make the animations and the hand model for it though

Good work at the graphics, great mood.
I´m an Artist as well, so i can understand your Problem. Try to team up with a developer, so that you can focus on art.
I´ll follow your progress!

Very cool, very atmospheric :slight_smile: what are you planning on doing with this?
