Shrinking a gameobject around a curve

Hello forumgoer’s , i have a question about gameobjects, see ithought that 3d healthbars would be too cool, so i went ahead and made one using blender, (they are curved around the player’s head) , problen is, how can i make the hp bar shrink to one side when the player loses HP , My first guess was constantly changing it out with a smaler one, needless to say, that thats a horrible idea…

So then i thought about changing out its texture, prolly more propable than the first, but i wanted to hear if there is any other way to accomplish this,im currently not at my pc so ill post a picture as soon as i can, in the meanwhile , i hope you guys can help me out with this one! Thanks
