Is it gone for good?
Disturbingly, there appears to be a site which looks sus as heck.
What gives? Anyone in the know?
According to the youtube channel, there was a new version of it in development about 3 months ago. It could just be the transition to that.
Why? That’s just a subdomain.
Ah, of course. What made it suspect was its outdated intro video and that all the game links lead to blank pages. That last must be because they’re linking to the dead site.
And as I say, the Wayback shows it up and running on the 17th of February, having just relaunched two days previous.
If it’s been down since then, for instance, is why I’m reaching out to anyone “in the know”
If you want to reach somebody “in the know” you should probably try and contact the singular dude running the site.
Great idea. I found a “founder” email on the “get.simmer” page and emailed “rocco”
I note it’s a sitebound email address…
Will report results if any.

So we performed a service to the community today.

Simmer is a known site in web game circles. It’s not huge, but it’s trusted.

Hey guys. SIMMER.io has been around since 2017. I am the founder.
There was a small glitch overnight that brought the site down. I fixed it as soon as I woke up

My site monitoring capabilities are a little less than say of google.com, haha!

And yes we did just relaunch a few weeks ago so there may be the occasional hiccup as things smooth out.
There is also legacy.simmer.io as a backup, for at least a few months!
