Hi all! I want to create a simple version of the classic lemonade stand game in Unity. Any advice on where to start? Finding any kind of information about this kind of game is incredibly difficult. Not a complete expert at coding.
Like any project, you must start at the beginning.
I’ve never met a complete expert at coding, so I wouldn’t let that hold you back. Your statement suggests you do have some experience with programming, though, so your normal methodology applies here.

Break down the project scope into major tasks

Trim features down until you’ve defined an MVP

Break your remaining tasks down into smaller subtasks

Develop each task/feature one by one

Polish

I once ported Lemonade Stand to Mac and Windows in REALbasic. It was good fun for sure. If you have any questions about what the original source (or my port, if you happen to look at it) is doing, feel free to ask.
If you haven’t already, be sure to go through some Unity tutorials (via the Learn link at the top of this page) first. Let them guide you through building several other games, and then come back to your Lemonade Stand port. It will actually be much faster than skipping the tutorials and trying to dive right in.
