Let’s say i decide to make a video tutorial. Im talking about actual length video tutorial of using unity. but than i decide to sell it to people. The download of the video or w.e will not include downloads of anything regarding unity assets.
So would i have to buy a license or something to be able to sell this unity video tutorial?
not that i know about these things, but I would have thought selling a tutorial for a software doesn’t require the author of the tutorial (or the person selling the tutorial) to own the license…
Well, I must say when you mention ‘full length’ I wouldn’t consider it as something appealing, nor worth of more money. Saying full length as in ‘long enough to seem like its worth your bux’, I find that length tiring and unnecessary, even annoying. Many of these long tutorials are a pain to keep interest on, lots of stuff done on the fly… things I already know…author’s personal thoughts… and while I get tempted to fast forward, I just won’t dare because I’m afraid I might miss that bit that was actually important, and I didn’t know about. I wish there were more compact tutorials, well categorized, in which if there was any ‘side info’ or ‘author personal opinions’, would be said with previous practice and no unnecessary delay. Often after watching 1~ hour tutorials, I can’t help to think the gained info could have been shown and explained in matters of a few minutes, no crazy prologues, no trying things out things on the fly, no messing around, just tell me where do I click and what does it do, that’d be matrix-like knowledge gain!
