Simple shooting script

Basically this script does what it is supposed to do when attached to a game object: it makes the game object slide around and jump and animate and fire a projectile which if it was theoretically hit with it would respawn

The reason I say theoretically is because I would need to implement multiplayer… I don’t know anything about multiplayer. I was wondering if someone could perhaps show me a simple script that would “give control” of a game object to another client upon connection. Because this script does what it does when it is attached to a game object… so if I was able to “give control” of a game object to another player then thus I would be able to have some sort of multiplayer going on since I can create these simple shooter scripts.

This question has three big problem, 1.shooting script and multiplayer isnt the same thing, 2.this is not the right topic, there’s the multiplayer one, 3.simple and multiplayer, simple is a moving script
Post this at multiplayer, or i think there’s some tutorials about networking on the website

I just kind of want a bootleg script that would allow me to give control of a game object to another player upon connection to the server.

That doesnt change anything, if you want help with networking, go to multiplayer networking topic, or just simply look up a simple tutorial, on how to do it, there are plenty of those things on youtube

Perhaps I should make a single player game to show people I’m credible… then maybe I can convince someone to show me how to do what I want to do because I cant comprehend the photon manual.

I don’t think you understand, what i say, theres a section on unity forum, called multiplayer networking, and there are so many nice people there, that would show you happily how this thing works

I posted too many threads lately on this same subject… I hope I don’t get in trouble

Don’t post more than one of the same thing, just “bump” it (literrally post a comment:“bump there”), and read the forum rules, so you wont get in trouble

This may help: How to create an online multiplayer game with Unity - Paladin Studios

too much for me to read seriously ill never be able to get through all that

The post only runs till about 30% of the page height, then it’s all links and comments. Even if it was that long though, I’d say you’d be lucky to have so much information in one place.

Anyways, learning takes effort.

And half of the content is scripts, and by the way, that’s not how you learn something, if you give it up, you wont get anything. But if you don’t like reading that mich, then make yourself a tea, sit down and watch some tutorials on youtube, I’m sure that if you search for unity networking tutorial, then you get an infinite amount of content.

So you’re lazy, ignorant, and entitled? Hmm, I heard the government is hiring.
