Simulate visuals for an impact on a shield

Hey there!

I’m here to ask what’s the best way to represent a impact on a shield. I’m using the “Unity 3.3 and iOS” Shadder in the following link to create the force fields:

So, any suggestion (the focus here is in visual effects, not in physics)?
