Hi,
I’m running an older (2008 8-core) Mac Pro under Mountain Lion, and up until 4.2.2, I was usually able to use the MonoDevelop “Attach to Process” to at least[/b] attach to the Unity Editor. Often, however, MonoDevelop would simply hang, occasionally displaying the spinning beach ball, some times not. (however, it would never show under Force Quit as not responding). Trying to attach to an iOS or Android device was a joke, but at least I could attach to the Editor about 60% of the time.
Others of my co-workers, both on Mac systems and Windows systems did not have these sorts of problems.
Now, after “upgrading” to Unity 4.2.2, I can NEVER get the Attach To Process to work, and worse, if I tap that button, it will consistently hang MonoDevelop with the same symptoms that were only occasional under previous releases. Clicking that button will hang MonoDevelop now 100% of the time.
Does anyone have any suggestions or clues as to what I might try to solve this problem. I am currently completely stymied trying to use the debug to debug anything.
Thanks in advance,
