single-pass stereo rendering slower?

Anyone else seeing this? I’m going from about 8ms GPU render time to 11ms GPU render time. Not the result I was hoping for! On top of that, it seems to mess up asynchronous timewarp somehow such that there are big jumps in tracking. Normally I can crank up settings higher on regular multi-pass and go over 11ms render time and ATW kicks in an keeps it smooth for rotational tracking.

I’m running 5.4.0b16 (latest updates don’t show anything that might remedy this). My system is pretty high spec with a i7-6700K and 980Ti.

I’m using Oculus VR at the moment. Will also try OpenVR with the Vive later to see if I get a similar result.

Do you mind submitting a bug report and attaching some of the profiler data? Then please post the case report number on this post. I can take a closer look at the problem.

I haven’t seen this performance regression myself but would be interested in digging a little deeper into this.
