Six-Eight-Two (497036)

The basics, what IS Six-Eight-Two?

Six-Eight-Two is going to be a horror survival, first person shooter. It is a game based on the SCP_682 file in the SCP wiki / foundation. The story takes place right after the event of addendum 682_B where 682 escapes captivity, it is your job to lure him back into his containment cell to protect potentially thousands of people.

Dealing with SCP-682. -What makes our game a unique fps horror?

As you should all know, SCP-682 is invincible. Your gun, although very powerful, is a seemingly harmless childs toy to 682. You need to shoot his limbs to slow him down, or blow up barrels when he is near and close doors on him! But be warned. 682 has the amazing ability to quickly adapt to the current situation he is in. You want to shoot 682 in the legs all the time? He doesn’t. He will reinforce his carapce to become more resistant to bullet damage, or generate a shield to take less damage to the eyes. You need to frequently change your gameplay style and use different methods of slowing 682 down to cause him to constantly stay at his base defense level. Good luck, soldier!

Randomly generated maps!

Traverse through randomly generated maps, from the positioning of the corridors, to the spawning of you and SCP_682. Will he spawn behind you? Or will he spawn at a distance so he can stalk you? There’s only one way to find out.

Team up with friends

Team up to take on SCP_682 with friends in our Co-op mode! You will all spawn in different places, so you will have to find eachother, can you find your friends before SCP_682 does?

Progress.

Six-Eight-Two is nearing it’s very first Pre-Alpha release, here are various screenshots and videos for you to enjoy.

What the title says, a lot of improvements have been made the Six-Eight-Two recently, as well as the addition of some things! Here are some screenshots:

These are images of the co op side of things in the works! The player models where given to us to use as placeholders from the creators of SCP : Containment Breach.

The Harpoon Rifle

Here is a screenshot of the new rifle I am working on, a few things to note before you comment.

This is the Harpoon Rifle, the idea of it is, is that it shoots two separate metal prongs, both connected by thin metal wire, you fire the first shot into an electrical device, and then the second shot, into SCP682, electrocuting him and slowing him for a short period of time.

This is a WIP of the Harpoon Rifle, please note this is a very basic shape, this is no where near done! That thing at the front isn’t a barrel, its a metal casing, the barrels are inside it! (and are yet to even be modelled… As stated it’s really early in the design stages at the moment.)

Hope you like this small update, we will be keeping this thread up to date as often as possible! What do you all think?

Good job Daniel! Love the progress you’re making! Keep it going.

Cheers
Khelton

looks pretty awesome, yet a bit too dark… could be my screen. A little nitpick though: i noticed in the second half of the videos there’s some inconsistency with the room reverb, the footsteps are properly reverberated while gun foley and gunshots are not… or at least one doesn’t match the other. Is the reverb baked in the sound samples or you are using engine’s effects? again, just a little nitpick. Awesome job though!

will just anyone be allowed to either alpha or beta test??
