The title is a bit of the explanation yet when I mean Skeletal Transplant is that a Model has the mesh that is inter-connected to the Animation Rig. The animation rig is the skeleton. I was wondering if I happen to create a animated model with a designed animation, how would i transplant the animation from one model to another?
Hi,
Sounds like you are talking about retargeting of animation. Unity’s Mecanim can do this for humanoid animations.
Thanks you for your support. I apologize for the delayed response. I now understand how to transplant a “AnimationController” to another Model.
To my knowledge is that the AnimationController is what handles the rig to animate.
" character controller, the transform, and other properties on the top-level GameObject, to make sure that the animations work smoothly with the new model."
So this “Retargeting” is what I am looking for. Thanks
I read somewhere that you can not transplant a animation from another mode without the correct bones with in the animation rig. But this retargeting thing does it move around like that?
