Sketchup - creating double-sided walls?

Here is another noob-question relating to Sketchup.

Is it possible to somehow quickly convert a single surface to a double-sided one so that both sides of that surface becomes visible when imported into unity? For instance, say youve cerated a small single-surfaced house. Is there a way I can select the whole model and have each surface converted into double-surfaces and with some preset space between them to create depth as well?

It´s not that it is THAT tedious in Sketchup to do this manually, but if there is a way Id prefer to make my workflow as efficient as possible

Apparently, if you add materials to either side of a single-sided plane in Sketchup, export it in collada-form, import it to for instance Cinema 4D and then export it in fbx-form, and then (phew) import it to Unity, the result will be a double-sided plane.

Still would be nice to know if there is an extrude-function in sketchup. I havent found it yet anyway…

On a plan of a room I use the offset tool to offset the inner wall a walls thickness outwards to create the outer wall line. Then, as long as the lines are closed to create a plane and if not then close them, I use the push/pull tool to extrude the wall this created upwards. Then I stick a ceiling on.

Yeah, I started using the push/pull-tool as well, and I love it

Wait until you find the Follow Me tool!

Only be careful with it in models for Unity as it can really whack up your polygon count if you don’t think it through.

Thank u man it worked i thought i was going to have to add depth to every plane in the house

WITHOUT MOTHERFUCKING SKETCHUP MY GOD
