Hi,

i have a big problem creating skyboxes in unity:

1. I created 6 skybox pictures:

1. i created a Material “Skybox Cubed”

2. i created a Cubemap

When i start my unity project, every picture seems to be at wrong position. It happens every time, no matter what program i am using .. and ony in Unity.

Anyone here can help me?

Make sure they’re in the right slots (you might have to reverse front and back, don’t remember now), also switch them to clamp, just to be sure there’s no issues on the edges. Also I think you might need to add a bit of distortion to them (Photoshop / Sphereizethingy) to stop them looking square, unless Unity handles that when it generates the cubemap.

You don’t need any distortions.

As for wrong positions. That means your maps are wrong. They either need to be rotated or they need to be in different slots. Clamping yes, that will remove the edge seams.

i use this program here:

[SpaceScape](http://www.alexcpeterson.com/portfolio/spacescape)

and the naming is right for every other 3D App.

What do you mean “every other”?
I haven’t seen any other 3d app that takes pieces of a cubemap, instead they take a cubemap directly…
