If you’re a Slack user, we have a new Slack community dedicated to Unity developers. It’s a small group of us at the moment, but with a wide range of experience.
There is a #unity channel in the gamedevelopment.slack.com group, but it’s not very active. Maybe it’ll be better to have a specialized group altogether.
We use internally, but it is domain locked. I honestly hadn’t even heard about it 6 months ago. Now I prefer over just about anything else I have used.
I’m incredibly suspicious of anyone offering me a great looking, obviously valuable service and not asking for money from me. It makes me wonder if I can trust them with my information.
Edit: Ok, I eventually found a pricing page. Neat.
There’s a bunch of us in the group that have been working with Unity for a few years and are shipping commercial products. We thought it might be useful to chat to fellow developers about hard problems, share our progress, or help each other with domain specific problems.
I have a development team. However the various voices inside my head already talk to each other too much. I’m not overly keen to give them more rcfective communication tools.
Applied to check out Slack, sounds interesting and I’m looking for better ways of managing the team atm
Bonus that I get to chat to all you lovely folk too
