Slight delay in rapid and repeating method call

Hi
I need a slight delay in a repeated method call. Think rapid pulling of trigger in a FPS game.
A hundreth of a second should do.
Would coroutines be the best solution, or is there something more elegant?

If a coroutine, what if the ‘trigger interval’ is shorter than the delay? Wouldn’t that cause an error?

I’d just store a delay value added to Time.time and bail out if the method is called too soon.

public float triggerDelaySeconds = 0.01f;
private float triggerDelay = 0;

void pulledTrigger()
{
    if(Time.time < triggerDelay) return;
    // do something
    triggerDelay = Time.time + triggerDelaySeconds;
}
