Hey Everyone,Ever since I had installed Unity (I am a new user)when I scroll in the world it goes VERY slow hardly moves at all.I don’t know if its a setting but I have looked around and found nothing. If anybody can give some assistance it would be much appreciated.
What do you mean by ‘scroll in the world’? Are you talking about the scene view?
Yes when I’m in the scene view and i select an object(other than the main camera)the scrolling speed slows right down do hardly moving at all.
By ‘scrolling’, are you referring to moving the camera around interactively, e.g. by ‘panning’ against the scene? And when you say it’s slow, is it moving slowly but smoothly, or does the frame rate appear to be low?
Also, what’s in your scene? Is there anything complex in it, like a high-poly mesh or a large collection of objects?
Yes I do mean it in that sense(I should of said that in the 1st place)And yes it moves slowly but smoothly. There are a few objects with a large collection of objects like but nothing high poly.
Hm, I’m not sure what it is that you’re seeing. The only thing I can think of is that you may be working at a scale that’s much larger than what Unity is tuned for. (It’s fairly typical for 1 unit to = 1 meter, especially where physics simulation is involved.)
You could try zooming in (mousewheel in scene view) and see if it feels more responsive then. If so, it may be a scale issue.
Otherwise though, I’m not sure (I haven’t noticed anything like what you’re describing myself).
You are correct using the zoom and other options (holding alt) does in fact increase the speed.Thank you.
I sometimes have this issue where panning and zooming suddenly slows to barely moving. The way I have solved it is to select some object that is relatively small and hit F to focus on it. Then things are back to normal.
still have this issue too. thanks for sharing your solution
