Slow windows build on Google Cloud but fast on laptop

Hi

We have a unity windows build that takes input folder with fabrics and generates shirt renders in the output folder. It gives us 2.5 renders per sec on my HP Laptop which has 8GB RAM and and i5 processor.

We have tried to deploy this build on a Google Cloud Windows machine with the following configurations but have not been able to achieve more then 0.5 renders per second speed.

    • 2 vCPU 7.5GB Memory
  • 4 vCPU 15 GB Memory
  • 8 vCPU 30 GB Memory
  • 16 vCPU 60 GB Memory
  • NVIDIA T4: GPU
  • NVIDIA Tesla P4: GPU
  • NVIDIA Tesla P100: GPU

We are definitely missing out on something. Can someone please help !!

can you ping me at tanu at fashiondx dot co please? will be really great if you could help us. I am very surprised that the unity windows utility build that gives 1 render per sec on on my local 8gb ram, i5 machine , takes over 15 sec per render on gcp. And the CPU and RAM usage is also very low in GCP. It seems as if we have missed some configuration or hardware which is specific to gcp.
