Hey guys! I’m trying to setup networking for a FPS game that I am working on. I have narrowed down my choices to networking systems to a top 3. SmartFox, Photon and the build in unity3d networking code. I want the community’s opinions on which one is the easiest and best to use. I really have no clue which one to pick.
By the way, I am using the Ultimate FPS Camera by VisionPunk for my game. If anyone knows anything about networking with that camera system, feel free to share it here as well
Thanks for your help,

Truthfully I’d use Unity’s default networking but just hope you have a good 24/7 server. Ive seen SmartFox, eh, Photon, never heard of. I choose Unity because I usually avoid third parties and their’s a lot more documentation.
I’m using smartfox myself and it comes with a good basic example of an FPS. Honestly any of them is probably a good start once you’re able to grab hold of some samples or documentation. Once you fully understand how one works the others tend to be easy to switch to, so at this point I wouldn’t worry about the long term differences between them.
Since your using the Ultimate FPS Camera I’d advise photon as I believe VisionPunk is going to try and sink it into Photon sometime in the future. So if you already know Photon well, then by the time that’s released you’ll have a good idea how you can expand on it.
unity netowek have lot of problem if you wont connecting to other player…
