In Unity, it’s recommended to make your game in 3D.
@Eric5h5 - I’ve changed the scope for the jam. Instead of using original Nintendo properties, devs can create games using their own properties, and their own style of course.
What does that even mean? Is it required or not?
Some of the rules (the recommended ones) might be better labeled Contest Guidelines or something.
I think you are aiming a bit high for a 2 week game jam, which I believe you haven’t really advertised beforehand (none had any time to prepare, make time on their schedule etc). If I participate (which I doubt, but then again, I’ve always wanted to make a SSB-like game) it will be in 2D, feature extremely simple ‘characters’ and almost none of the recommended ‘rules’. Then again, I would do it all by myself, perhaps you are hoping teams will participate.
