SmoothFollow Camera Question

Is there anything I can do about the SmoothFollow camera?
I like it, but only being able to change height and distance is annoying, i want the camera to be up higher so maybe you cant see players feet, but i want to see in front of him, kind of like an over the shoulder? but more in the middle, and i cant figure it out, help?

If you’re willing to spend money, UnityPrefabs has a kit that seems to do what you are looking for :stuck_out_tongue: Loading...

I would never give them money.

Well, I’m not that good with programming yet, so I can’t help you :frowning: Unless I worked on making one for a few days, maybe I could help you out

Lol, well I can’t ask you to do something cause I will feel bad, but if you happen to find something let me know
I have a new problem…Though…

Isn’t that in the inspector?

Is what?

  1. apply it to your main camera
  2. Open your cameras inspector (default is on the right)

Right, I know that. If you look in my original post…
" but only being able to change height and distance is annoying, i want the camera to be up higher so maybe you cant see players feet, but i want to see in front of him"
I can’t make this happen with the options they provide.

oh! I read it wrong…

Can you just parent the same camera used in the FPScontroller prefab and then move it?

Ah you know what, you can…
I’ve done that before and totally forgot about it, and just disable the mouse!
Thanks for the reminder
