So I want to Make a Mobile App for both IOS and Android

Hi guys,

I’m been dabbling with Pro 3.5.x for some time now. I’ve now gotten to the point where I want to make the App I’ve been thinking about for some time, so stepped up my learning with Unity.

Now I’m staring up at the path to an IOS and Android app. Looking at the restrictions on Basic IOS and Android looks to make the Pro versions the only way forward, or do many successful App makers on the Apple and Android Markets use IOS / Android basic. (much cheaper but looks very limited)

With an upgrade to Version 4 Pro, IOS, and Android this looks to be a $3,750 fee (US) to get past Go.

Oops almost forgot the Mac (Air) Laptop $1,100 + ADP $100 approximately so this is near $5,000. (My older Macbook Pro is bricked after the mainboard failed after warranty expired :frowning: )

I do have my old 3GS iPhone here, as I switched to a Samsung Note, so that’s one of the Apple platforms. iPads – (Mini) $329, iPad $499 (don’t know if both are needed to test Touch) if so that would be another $800 new for both.

Overall is this the realistic route most take? I just want no illusions. I realize I can easily save money on some of this by not buying brand new etc…however licences are fixed of course.

Thanks for your input… :sunglasses:
