As you may know I am currently making a fantastic MMO, but so are many, many others here, so what is your opinion on that?
And also how many will you think will make it to release?

Depends what you mean by my opinion. Anyone can “make it”, if you have the will-power and the motivation (the time, and endless cups of coffee), then all that’s left to do is to find a way to make it happen. That could mean money, volunteers, years of work, or whatever else. Think of it positively, - and plan, well!
Ay’ we at Feudal studios have a few ‘suprises’ up our sleeves, which we won’t reveal till much later in case a bigger company takes that idea, and uses it in it’s own game.
Please state why my game idea sucks? hmm? We have 2 very good programmers, a Modeller, a web developer, 2 designers (Me and another) but looking for a texturer and animator.
so please state why it sucks, I would love to know mate.
I don’t see where anyone said it sucks man
Because it was removed, someone linked me to the site about games that suck.
oh well that’s no fun but oh well ignore the haters they just waist time
I know, thats why you have to set a example sometimes ![]()
Yeah, sorry to hear that. Your game idea sounds really fun and unique to me, as Darloc said, just block out the haters and carry on looking foward. ![]()
For sure. Ur game gonna be good. I’m sure. It takes lots of work to make mmo. But it can be done. My game will take about a year to make. It will have about 12 levels. Its an fps.
Dave, if we can finish the list and make one or two more, we could finish sometime in August. We have a few things you have to see but you have to go on Skype, added a couple things involving online and trophies. GET BACK ON, screw pain and shattered kidney stones.
. we need ya back.
Cheers

Ok. Ill be on later. Today.
not nice when someone criticises your work is it
im also tring work on a mmo type game on own (mostly working on the level design at the moment) and once you start work on a mmo it can be hard at times but fun and most people are haters (probally they failed and gave up)
The person who said it had a grip with me, Criticising is a art, you don’t go around saying ‘it sucks’, I never said any of your work sucks.
criticising is not an art
you make it sound like a hobby to annoy other people, you could have just said, ‘its a little high poly, but nice models though!’ but instead, you say ‘I wouldn’t buy your game crashers’ I did not deserve that, it was uncalled for,
Competition, eh?
AAA games aside, look at it this way: you have the potential to be better than a million others (whether they be serious indies or straight up f4n boyz). It’s all about perspective.
Here is one tip (now listen closely because this is important) that will instantly kill any competition: finish your game.
You’ll also want said game to look good and have great quality and a great community. But finishing your game should be your goal.
Finish your game. Put it up for an open “beta.” Use that to generate funding, donatations, kickstarter, pre-orders, investors, etc. And use said funds to polish your game before release (if needed), acquire necessary servers and technologies for launch, and to advertise.
Simple, right? ![]()
This is what I plan to do, ![]()
Forgot to address this part of the OP.
AAA Games: Maybe 1-3 a year (no successful WoW killers. Possible flops. Might fill a niche or two)
Indie: Hopefully you, but I don’t see any indie MMOs being released in the near future. If I’m wrong, make sure your game is better.
1% will make it to release. There is a 1% margin of error.
