Apparently THQ really REALLY needs some money if their doing a humble bundle
This kinda goes against the meaning of the humble bundle, first off these games are windows only, secondly , THQ is not an indie , its a DYING publisher that refused to adapt .
How many mobile games does THQ have , NONE .
Yet, I still brought it for a buck( steam key spammers made it so you need to pay at least a dollar ) and gave THQ something like a dime .
RIP THQ, you made some wrestling games me and my cousin played back in the day, but your time is past .
In case you haven’t noticed, they aren’t calling it a “Humble Indie Bundle”, so I can’t see what you’ve got to complain about there.
Also, it’s an indie publisher (that’s essentially what the Humble guy(s) are) that’s now playing with the big fish. Sure, it may be an ailing big fish, but this kind of thing is hardly a negative.
I respect them for keeping their feets on lands they already know instead of flooding mobiles like everyone else.
Also respect Nintendo for that. However their problems really began when their partners were mad on them for not making casual InApp blood suckers.
I wish they somehow turnover and become successful again, proving that not everyone need to follow trends to survive. Nintendo is proof, but Nintendo is worth multi billions, so… Kinda easy for them.
Good luck to them, def gonna buy this and I only heard of SR, it’s just an awesome deal. Haven’t heard from them in awhile but 90 percent of my Ps2 games use to start with THQ.
It could also just be that they’re trying to get in on the action. Humble Bundles have been pretty hot since day one, and have often sold more copies than any of the listed games are likely to be selling.
But let me get this straight:
A “AAA” publisher is playing ball with an indie publisher…
A “AAA” publisher is selling a bundle of “AAA” games with a “pay what you want” model…
You have in fact purchased it yourself, therefore speaking to its value, and yet…
You’re still complaining about it?
I get the impression that anything with a big publisher attached to it is a target for complaint regardless of what’s actually happening.
Double post, but let me expand on what I already said , hundreds of people work at these companies . THQ is falling since they couldn’t adapt . Its sad when a dev studio goes under, but that’s only like 30, 50 people( full timers anyway) most of the time . When a publisher goes down , they fire the few hundred working for them directly, AND a few dev studios usually shut down too .
Important thing to keep in mind: Humble Bundle is mainly about charity, not profits.
Sure, some indies actually make a lot of money out of it, thanks to the exposure they would otherwise not get, but large studios don’t need that exposure. Doing this for charity, though, makes them look good. It’s good PR.
I don’t see what’s there to be mad about. So long as they don’t claim to be indie, its just a bundle, and some of the proceeds go to charity.
How is that bad?
There are a lot of indie game deployment platforms. My game isn’t even finished and I’ve already been contacted by 2 or 3 of them. This isn’t going to be making TQH much money, in fact, they’ll probably lose sales since they’re including SR3 for way under the going price currently.
