I love Unity 3 but my biggest complaint is having to make games that would run well in retina on the iphone 4s target a lower resolution so they’ll play decently on iphone 3GS/4. I have to set target resolution to ‘standard’ as setting native resolution would be fine for 3GS and 4s but the iphone 4 tries to render retina with it’s 3GS quality gpu! I know you can somehow hack certain xcode files for per device resolution but it’s fragile and changes on each version – it’s beyond me
Has anybody tested the new resolution settings in Unity4 and does this effectively give you the ability to set per device resolution?
