Still waiting ![]()
Please and thank you?
I don’t know but i’m sure getting sick of these moaning threads! ![]()
@nomad:
Here is the release thread:
http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/164005-UnIDE-A-Code-Editor-Integrated-Into-Unity-RELEASED
$50, not too bad.
Wish it had the debugger built in, that would make it a must-buy.
He’s not whining. He put a smiley emoticon. ![]()
I’m not moaning, i’m having a cheeky jab. And I’ve just spotted this (after making my post) - http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/155788-UnIDE-A-Code-Editor-Integrated-Into-Unity
This looks fun! Btw I didn’t make this post for me, but because a friend was frustrated battling mono(crud)develop and unitron. Both which lets face facts here, suck a lot.
I’m a sublime text 2 fan myself. But I like the look of that UnIDE thing.
ps…

edit : No beer for Bad Hippo who doesn’t read all the posts in his thread ?p=1121281&viewfull=1#post1121281).
IDK but i’m fed up with these people Cummings on these forums and whining about stuff, instead of being productive and making games/ Dx11 contest…
(Just kidding, Its not really my business and IDK how productive you really are.)

$50 bucks

Hippo? He’s a lazy grump. He does nothing…
I’m pretty sure that ‘built in IDE’ is redundant somehow.
Wish I had $50 to spare right now. ![]()
You don’t need to buy the $50 asset, there is a text editor but it is undocumented.
Here’s some basics to use it https://primerlabs.com/texteditor
So you’re saying we should save our money, and spend our time writing our own code editors using this API? Seems like $50 is a bargain not to have to do this.
Yeah I’m with you on this one. After we make this, we just write our own game engines, instead of wasting money on Unity!
Had a good laugh at this thread. Yup I deserve all the stick ![]()
…ps can I have my beer? ![]()
A beer served by a Danish girl, because Danemark knows how good beer is ![]()

Now for some actual content:
I have been using UnityVS for a little over a month now, and it has been a far superior experience to both Mono Develop. Debugging makes sense again, and Visual Studio 2012 is snappy and easy on the eyes. Might be worth a look, though as far as I know they don’t offer a trial version yet.
