So why is Unity Pro So expensive?

So about Unity Pro Like people are leaving cause how greedy anything about why it is expensive

Unity has to make money somehow. You can do basically everything with the Free version and you only need to upgrade once you hit $200,000 revenue in the last 12 months, from FAQ. If you make $200,000 don’t you think the tool that helped you do that deserves anything?

especially when visual studio is not free for commerical use, so, you need to pay for that, and then all the other things youd pay for, do you get upset over them too?

High end game engines used to be licensed (and still are) beyond $500,000 and up to several million … per project.

So it may seem expensive from your personal perspective, but it’s not from a business perspective. While Unity Pro’s price has been largely unchanged for ten years or so. It’s not gotten noticably more expensive.

And then, most of us can use Unity for free. The threshold where you do have to pay has been recently doubled to $200,000 yearly revenue.
