Soft Body Physics

I have noticed quite a few requests for Soft Body physics on these boards on the occasions that I pop by, so I thought I would give it a quick go. What you are seeing is about an hours work so far, so still a long way from an ideal solution. This is using my own physics solution not unities…so it could be ‘fun’ trying to get them to both interact nicely. It can be dropped onto any mesh as a component and should ‘just work’ with a few tweekable parameters.

Normals are not being recalculated yet which is why lighting looks a bit wierd.
Line intersections are not handled yet so mesh can cut through its self.

I thought unity had this already but apparently not. Whats the difference for hair physics and boob / jello physics? Or better yet, why cant the current unity physics system do soft body physics?

Looks like unity wont let you get too far with soft body physics :confused:
