The v0.92 project file’s has been waiting for asset store’s aproval for a few days now, but v0.91 is available if you feel like supporting me! v0.91 is the one from the video. (Current price is $10, don’t worry, all upgrades come for free after purchasing)
for the current version I’m working with (v0.93):
-shooting (90% done, you can test on the webplayer)
-add a simple sentry gun to get some enemy fire to work with
-make getting hit animations
-die animations
for v0.94:
-add camera shake and bobbing
-add just a few basic environment props soldier can take cover with, etc
-take cover system
-separate clip from the gun
-add reloading animations
-jumping!
v0.95:
-add aim from the hip mode
-add a pistol
-add a side scroller camera mode
v0.96
-be able to prone
-make a simple side scroller camera mode
Dogzerx, in the demo, you should hide/lock the mouse pointer (so it does not escape the player window)… currently it makes it a bit hard to nagivate (since you need to swing the mouse quite a bit, side to side, for rotation… )
I’ll make the webplayer more interesting as I progress with the scripting!
Not sure why v0.92 isn’t approved yet… don’t they contact you if something is wrong?
Either way I’ll finish v0.93 soon, I’ll be sure everything is order. I submitted a free ik script after the soldier script, and it’s been approved already, while the soldier script is still pending! Weird stuff!

Ophs! Sorry!! Yes it is, it’s still v0.91. But since v0.92’s update I’m using the default character controller, so stuff will collide with the character! You can drop a cube on him and it’ll bounce on the character’s collider! Next update will be ready very soon! I wish the asset store would hurry and aprove v0.92 or at least contact me to tell me if something’s wrong!
Damn, I totally forgot about jumping! I actually had it written down somewhere before, don’t know what happened. *Adding it to the official list now. I’ll put it on v0.94, I’m urging to submit v0.93, since the asset store isn’t uploading v0.92, and v0.91 is too outdated, bah…
About the aiming… I want to add the aim from hip mode in v0.95. Then you can always be aiming from the hip, and when you right click, you go into the precise aiming mode soldier’s currently using!
Also the camera is already re-positionable in v0.92! (it takes the initial position as reference)
On another note, I’m already working on a sentry gun for the package.
I thought it’d be fun to have one of those shooting at you if you get close, this way you can really test enemy fire. (For getting hit dying animations)
This screenshot is only the untextured zbrush model. Expect some basic texturing for it, and some polycount quality loss!
