(Solved) Alpha channels in Unity

When I import sprites to unity, they have a visible background, I can’t get rid of it. I’ve tried a few different programs, but none work. Is there a program people are using, that isn’t photoshop, to properly remove the background, so the alpha isn’t broken in unity?

Yes I’ve googled it…

Also this was created as a topic to piss off the mods who decided it wasn’t good enough to ask in the “answers” section. Who BY THE WAY took more time to reject my question than it would have taken to answer it.

I use GIMP instead of Photoshop. It’s free and will work with alpha channels.

Thank you. I’ve never used Gimp. I tried a few programs after Graphics Gale, before looking up why I was getting the error and finding the “alpha plugins for photoshop” witch made me think they were excetionally wonky.

But Gimp worked.

Good to hear it. Good luck.
