Hi,
Noticed there is MSVS 2019 now.
Is it safe to upgrade from MSVS 2017 to MSVS 2019?
(and it will still work with Unity & WebGL/Android building?)
Let us know, thanks!

VS 2019 works well with 2019.1, less well with 2019.2 and 2019.3.
Guess we should wait…
Will it be included in a Unity update soon?
Thanks!

I’m using this combination, which works fine for me:
“Visual Studio Tools for Unity” is part of Visual Studio 2019 rather than part of Unity.
When you install Visual Studio through the Visual Studio Installer, you select “Game development with Unity” and the “Visual Studio Tools for Unity” are part of the configuration.
Visual Studio Installer
If an update to “Visual Studio Tools for Unity” becomes available, you also update through Visual Studio Installer as far as I remember.
Different Visual Studio installations can co-exist on the system too. I’ve installed many different Visual Studio versions, does not cause problems here. You can install Visual Studio 2019 and keep Visual Studio 2017 if you like.
We are using Unity version 2019.1.12f1 (current non-beta).
We installed MSVS19 and selected it as default external script editor.
Seems to work fine, thanks!
