SOLVED Opening File Failed - so far no answers on web work!

Hi All,
I recently had a hard drive pack up so installed a new one… Re-downloaded Unity and created ‘new project’ I then get a ‘opening file failed’ message along with a force quit and 200 folders dumped into the drive.
I have looked it up on the web for past 2 days and I have tried the adding folders to ignore list on the antivirus, I have uninstalled re-installed, I have even turned off all antivirus and windows protection - no change - I still get the fail.

I have sadly (windows 10) - nothing else on my machine has changed other than the ‘F’ drive. Other programs like Blender and Photoshop have been installed on it and work fine. (I have uninstalled them all at present to try and see if any conflict there - there wasn’t).

Any ideas would be of great help please!!!

Solved!
Cache files… Every time I tried to open Unity on the new drive it basically dumped all the cache files onto the new drive and not into the cache folder - this in turn created a conflict which crashed Unity. So I set Unity up onto an external drive and opened it allowing the cache files to be dumped onto the new drive - reallocated the cache files to the cache folder and presto! all sorted my friends… hope that helps anyone else who has a similar problem.
