Hello,
Are there any plans to add Tizen support in Unity Analytics on upcoming releases?
Best Regards
Hi! Yes, we’re not ready to announce a release date but support for both Tizen and Samsung Galaxy Android IAP is coming.
Thank you, please let me know if you need beta testers, going to publish on Tizen Store soon.
@robson_depaula_1 I apologize, I didn’t answer the question accurately. Unity Analytics on Tizen works, today.
Q: Which version of Unity are you using?
(I spend a lot of time working on In-App Purchase, and misread the question as being about Unity IAP.)
Just enable the Unity Analytics feature (http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/UnityAnalyticsOverview.html sign in, turn on) before shipping, and if desired, instrument the game’s levels with CustomEvents for funnel-tracking as usage grows, etc.
EDIT: What I said about IAP still holds.
Nice to hear it. Currently I’m building with patch release 5.3.4p6. Is it ok or should I use another version?
I tried to use the dashboard in Unity Analytics to filter for Tizen platform but this option is not available (attached). Are there plans to list it? Or any other method to filter like it is already done for Android users, iOs users, etc.?
Thank you
Hi @robson_depaula_1 ,
That editor version should work fine, as long at it offers Tizen as an option in build settings, analytics should work for it. Android and iOS are the only default platform segments we create, however our custom segments feature gives the ability to create custom segments based on different platforms. Tizen is not quite on that list yet, but we are working on adding it as a platform option and it will hopefully be released soon!
We’ve enabled Unity Analytics on our Build Settings for our Tizen game, but are unable to see any events on the dashboard yet.
Is there anything else that needs to be done, or is Tizen not supported for Unity Analytics ?
Hi mkg2w,
Yes, Tizen is supported for Unity Analytics. It can take around 4 hours for the data to appear on your dashboard (once you have made your initial visit to the dashboard).
You can go into play mode and send an event. If the event is sent then it will be shown in the “Validator” instantly. Have you tried this, but the event does not appear?
Hello @Benvictus , it is being a while however I still don’t see “Tizen” listed on the platform filter.
The only options are “Android” and “iOS”.
Any plans on updating the dashboard to include Tizen?
Thank you and best regards
iOS and Android are the only platforms that we create default segments. However, you can create a custom segment for any of the platforms we support.
Thank you @ap-unity , custom segment created as instructed.
