ISSUE
I have labels in my store UI that fetch the product list from Unity IAP after it has initialized, to display the Product title next to the purchase buttons. This works fine on iOS builds, but Android builds print the game name in parentheses after the actual product title. The parenthesised part is NOT defined in Unity IAP product catalog locally, nor is it in the product definitions on Google Play, and I have checked that the UI labels get their text plainly from Product.metadata.localizedTitle with no concatenations during or after being set.

Expected title: “Small Coin Pack”
What’s currently received when getting metadata.localizedTitle: “Small Coin Pack (Ski Zoo)”

This can be worked around by manually replacing every unintended “(Ski Zoo)” occurrence with an empty string, but that’s certainly unideal as I’d expect Unity IAP to be a cross-platform solution that DOESN’T require me to do per-platform workarounds for strange platform-specific quirks.

I haven’t heard of this issue before. I’ve mentioned it to our QA team and I will get back to you with what they discover.

Would you be able to submit a support ticket about this issue:

Certainly! I’ve filed a message under General Usage category.

I’m also seeing this issue in our game. We’re using Unity 5.5.3p3. The iOS titles are fine, but Android SKUs have the game’s name appended. Any updates, @ap-unity ?

When this issue was first reported, we took a deeper look at our IAP code for Google Play and we are getting the titles directly from Google Play. When this is happens, it is coming from Google. I would recommend reaching out to their support:

Gotcha, thanks!

Was this issue resolved? Im guessing its related to test environment. The (com.company.prodyct) suffix should disappear once app is released?
