I have a large project and somewhere along the line this persistent error appeared: every time I run a scene to play, regardless of what scene it is, I get the following Editor error:
It’s related to some editor windows crashing, although I’m not sure which one.
I get this error regardless of which editor windows are open or not.
And also what happens is that my Version Control window tab always disappears if the tab is visible. Which forces me to always re-create the tab. It’s very annoying.
I’m using Unity version 2022.3.21f1 on Windows 11.
What’s even stranger is that I am using Version Control to manage my project and I have two other developers, none of whom experience this problem. Further more, if I delete my entire local project and redownload it from the cloud, the error still appears! I’ve also tried deleting and rebuilding my project’s cache, but that also doesn’t fix it. It feels to me like somehow my project got corrupted, but I don’t know where or how to go about fixing it. This error does not occur if I launch a brand new project. So the error is project-specific. But my project is pretty large so I cannot just switch to a brand new one.
I am baffled why this is happening. Any insights or clues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
