Some fps part 2

hi!
I would like to show you my current work with unity . This is a little improved version of my first game.

:frowning:

Hi, great work i have sent you a pm

That looks amazing.

Times like this I wish I could afford Unity Pro. All I want is shadows and a little bloom… that’s all, I promise!

Ditto ^

Well here is a guy who made an ok looking bloom affect for unity free :stuck_out_tongue:

For shadows most you can do is blob shadows, which can look decent on a low opacity in a cartoon setting. Then bake all the static objects.

RingOfStorms_ - You are absolutely right.
Fishman92 - Unity Pro provides many complex tools / solutions … but that does not mean that without them we can not do anything.
If you look carefully you’ll see that in my version of the game, there are no dynamic shadows. Some bloom effects come from 'bloom ’ planes.
In my opinion it is good to work with unity free … If we master the simple solutions … more advanced come easier and faster.
But I could be wrong - I’m still learning

Wow, that looks so beautiful! Absolutely brilliant!

Thank you!
If I had as much time as ideas … ehhhh will be better!

how long have you been working on it?

Great work! A little too heavy on the effects, but nice!

koyima - thanks for the suggestions … I’m still working on it
foxter888 - about 2-3.5 weeks … but most of the time it was experimenting.

Where did you buy the artwork from?

Wow, looks amazing for your first game. I love that lens 'stain" effect - reminds me of Battlefield 3.
BTW, is this done in Unity FREE or PRO? I am guessing its the PRO because of the image effects (lens flare, bloom, chromatic aberration). But I don’t see any dynamic shadow in it so I am a bit puzzle (why not turn it on?).

The only suggestion I can make is that - M16A4 fires way too fast - it feels like you are firing a MINIGUN!
Also, you probably want to put on a little bit of camera shake (jitters) as the gun fire. Right now it feels like you are firing a gun with no recoil (even though I can see the gun does do recoil as it shakes when fired). Another thing I noticed is the slow scope zoom. Its very very slow in FPS term.

Other than those I think you did a fantastic job for a 4 weeks project. Keep it up!

tatelax: Modern Ruins | 3D Industrial | Unity Asset Store
Here you have a collection of most of the elements that I have used.
Special effects , and some simple models, and textures created for myself.

This is not exactly my first game … Earlier I started with opengl and XNA … but that was a torture! 6 months of work … which I can do it in unity within 2-3 days.

'I am da bawss ’ - Yes it was made in unity Pro …Dynamic shadows …eh it’s funny … I checked performance without shadows … and forgot to turn them back when I created the final build

I saw that package a few days ago. You’ve done a good job with it.

Any way you can release a webplayer or standalone for us?

Hey. Amazing graphics and gameplay. There only critique I have is the camera tilting is a bit over done. Good job though.

As soon as I have more time I prepare a version for webplayer. Additional plugins do not work as well webplayer … but, I’ll try to find a solution

Only thing I have to say is that the gun is a bit weird of a position/the FOV is a bit too small. Other than that looks epic.
