some objects not affected by light

Hi, Never done anything with lighting before and didn’t realise there’s so much to it!

Anyways, I’ve setup a scene and deleted the directional light. I’ve then gone into the lighting window and turned the skybox intensity multipliers under environment down to 0 aswell.

This makes my scene look great as I’m using lamps from an asset package that light up the scene the way I want it (I have no idea how these lamps work so if someone could explain I’d appreciate it, They look to have a shader material attached and thats it).

The problem I have is my player model is just straight black, it isn’t affected by the lamps in the room at all, nothing else lights it up? Could someone tell me why? Thanks

Okay when I change to anything apart from shading mode in the scene view my object completely dissapears. Is this something wrong with the textures / materials?

Okay found the problem, turns out the textures that I was having problems with were not set to lightmap static.
