I’m using wheel colliders in unity to build a car. It works quite well. However, when I control the car and hit some rigidbodies in my scene, the car was affected by the reacting force and totally lost control. And it seems like changing mass is not effective. If I want to achieve the result that the rigidbodies are hit and scatted but the car could be still in the original direction and not lose control. How should I set?
Thanks Edy. I’ve tried your solution and configure the bounce of my car and objects to 0. But the problem still exits and it seems like it’s mainly caused when the upper edge of object’s collider is nearly the same height as the lower edge of the car’s collider. So I’ll have to change the size of both colliders I guess.
You may try reducing the friction as well. Personally I use a friction of 0.3-0.4 for the vehicle’s body. Also ensure that the friction combine is “Multiply” in all your physic materials for coherency.
