Some Trees Won't Export to Unity With Leaves

Hi,

Using unity 2022.2 with HDRP and running SpeedTree 10.0.1

I’ve run into a frequent issue where some of my trees that contain leaves or fronds will not export correctly to Unity (Using the standard Export) unless I select Atlas → “Everything” in my export. This is the “Single Draw Call” option.

If I remove all my leaves and fronds, the tree exports correctly.

I can significantly lower my leaves and still not be able to export. I tried the collision post process to help avoid any problematic geometry and nothing.

I also just removed all materials and was able to get the export to work. I then added back in the cluster and it broke the export.

I have provided the packaged speed tree for support zip file.

Thanks, let me know if there is anything else I can provide.

Hey @Worg0le, thanks for reaching out!

We’ll try to take a look into your file and see if we can’t figure out the problem. I’ll keep you updated.

It looks like this is a bug in 2022.2. I tested your model in 2022.3 LTS, and it exported properly when it was set to “non-wrapping” or to “everything”. You might consider updating your project.

I hope this helps!

Mira,

Just updated to Unity 6 and noticed those meshes are now working. I appreciate your time and effort!
