Some visual problems in the editor with Windows7 32-bit

I´m not sure if the problem is win7 but just my computer, I have installed it in win2008 and no problems. I´m using the latest drivers and tried disabling desktop composition/themes/uac/dep/etc but no luck with that.

The background is not grey with the grid, it’s just white. Also the arrows in the top-right, and in the selected object are all white. Is this some config in my computer or is actually a bug? (I’m planning on migrating all computers to win7 so it is kinda important)

:frowning:

you are using an unsupported OS at the time so problems can happen

2.6 is said to officially support Win7

I have the exact same problem. Strangest thing, before installing Unity 2.6, I had 2.5 running under Windows 7 for months, no problems. Now I thought I take a look at the new features in the 2.6 Trial and after my Trial period was over, I installed 2.5 again. Now I got the same problem shown above, the editor window and the arrows lost their colors. I guess this can just be a problem with the editor preferences, as Unity seems to put editor files all over the place, I thought I found most of them but obviously not, because it also remembers the location of all my other projects in the “open project” window.

Where is all this stuff hidden, any ideas?

Ah, got my colors back. Preferences → Default.

But the questions about the preference files in Unity still stands.
