Sound amplfication for bad hearing people

Hello everybody,
I developped last week an application for helping people who has hearing problem. The idea comes from a request from my dad, who has some hearing problem mostly for high frequency (superior at 2000Hz) but not really enough for being able to get a medical device.
So the idea is that almost everyone has a phone nowadays, so an app that can amplificate sound could help lot of people with hearing problems to not feel exclude mostly, indeed my father because of his problem can’t really follow a talk when too many people, or when there is too much sound in background (in car for example sound have globally low frequency that ar ethe frequency is heard the most, while voice is has more trouble, so he will only hear the car and not the person beside…)
The objectives is to amplificate the sound coming from the microphone of the phone to amplificate the frequencies needed and then give the sound to the user by earphones (it is necessary to avoid loop sound…). For knowing the frequencies to amplificate, an simplified audiogram is realized, that is functionnal.

Here comes the problem, I can get the sound from microphone and amplificate a bit (with maximal volume everywhere and of the phone it helps my dad) but if there is too much sound in the micro ( quite easy to happen: taping the micro, hand clapping near, talking a bit loudly) the volume of the sound get by the micro reduces consequently, like if the micro does an average or something to avoid to big sound, but the problem is that it takes minutes to be as beginning, and for all this time, it is totally useless… I use an audio mixer and paramEQ for each frequencies to improve with different value of amplification in function of the result of the audiogram.

I published the app for android on the store but it is not really working for amplification, you can look at it if you wish (all is in french at the moment, if working i will of course translate it), if it can help to get the thing, i can aslo provide code or project, the goal is to help people, so i want to make it work and can share all.

Wow, this is a great idea that can help millions of people around the world, they will be able to hear better, which is a wonderful fact for them. I have always supported such applications that really help human life. I’m not very good at applications and information technology, but I think it’s something like a magnetic loop. It still amplifies the sound, better said the sound and magnetic waves. I, for example, bought such a device from my father at https://www.access-market.com. I think an application like this is still welcome.
