in this threat i want show you the progress of my game project ‘SPACE FRONTIER’.
I see that you targeting on to better graphic quality than you can do, instead using downloaded textures try with low poly or pixel art like in Unturned game. You should also use unity in editor animation for gun movement.
It looks like you’re kind of just piecing together a bunch of stuff from the asset store and making a level. While thats fine to an extent, I would suggest working on the fundamental aspects of it like the Gameplay… Because there doesn’t really seem to be any of that yet.
Can’t have a game without gameplay.
I think first i must create some levels to have a world for the gameplay.
Then all fps controller functions, weapon inventory system and weapon effects must be done.
Many clothings must be designed for the mixamo fuse characters and many, many other things the store don’t have.
Some of the clothings can be downloaded here:

In this case i think i’am on the right way. That’s why they are sold on the asset store.
When i need a car. but my 3d construction skill aren’t good enough to design a sport car, then i buy it in the asset store. Problem solved !
When i need a sailship. Why should i invest 100 - 300 h in 3d design to get one ?
I can get it on an easier and more timesaver way, through the asset store !
The first level is near 5% completed, what i show is only a first walkthrough !
I think i can improve the graphic quality with PBS.
In the moment i try to improve the skin and hair shading quality.
Sorry, but I must say that you didn’t have any chance to make your project real game. Games like this are created by dozens of programmists and graphics.
You should start with simply wave survival like in unity tutorial and try to make your game completely playable in less than two weeks. Make all models / sprites by yourself and don’t use unity standard assets’s scripts.
Just make complete game, not project with mechanics from tutorials.
Give those ladies a chance to survive. They will die of hypothermia or exposure for sure.
Looks like there needs to be some kind of goal, some reason to wander around in the environment you have compiled.
So far it seems like a world that I’ve seen a couple dozen times before - with the same amount of direction.
A little direction on what to do would help steer the game in a proper direction.
