I thought I’d try and make a simple game so I can actually say I’ve finished something!

You did a fantastic job on this. This is exactly the kind of projects the “new to programming / game development” people should be tackling instead of going after all of these MMORPG games that rarely get anywhere. Your Space Invaders is very true to the original with some nice little improvements over the original in movement, explosions, etc. Sets a heck of a great bar to beat. Well done!

I wouldn’t say I’m that new to this but to be fair I’ve also fallen into the trap of trying to take on projects above my ability.

I would recommend trying to get a simple game completed to anyone else new to the scene. It was quite fun and not quite as straight forward as you might think.

Might try Pacman next :slight_smile:
