I appreciate all the feedback and high rank votes

Updated –
-made it easier to connect to my server
-improvements to UI to better fit the web environment
-other bugfixes

Very nice! I’m planning on releasing a MPFPS myself soon. Congrats on the release, and good luck in the Unity contest!

EDIT: A few things.
-Graphics. Make them more consistent. You’ve got some really awesome things like forcefields, but some of the assets like the guns and such seem like you just threw them in. Put time into all your assets, and make the game look consistent.
-Performance. I got very low FPS out of the game (11FPS-33FPS), despite the poor graphics, and on top of that every time I disconnected from the game, I would be reconnected whether I want to or not. This is a serious issue you need to fix.
-Controls. Your control system is nearly unintelligible. WASD movement and L-click to fire, I got that part. Chatting and changing weapons though…how do you do that? Also, don’t say, “read the guide.” Good controls should be intuitive, and easy to use. If you feel you have to say, “read the guide”, that’s the first sign you need to redesign things.

I gave it 3/5, because it has potential, and it is a good WIP. You’ve got things to fix, however.

You don’t feel the speed, without any texture…

Yeah it’s hard as a one man team (though I did have help with audio) – my effort has gone into programming and I’ve been lazy with the art.

I think I’ve fixed the auto connect issue, but I’m going to make sure soon.

You chat with Y (global) or U (team), which is what a lot of popular games use. I use standardized controls as much as possible, but SJ does a lot of things that most games just don’t do (like have extra axis for movement and rotation). I’ll probably add a button on the escape menu to open your loadout, but numpad enter is basically as standardized as it gets (Tribes series) and the L key also works (changed from /).

I do plan on fixing things if it continues to seem like it’ll have success on Kongregate

Just fixed a lot of that – doesn’t look as nice as I’d like, but it’ll have to do for now.

Thanks for the feedback guys

Hey, no problem. And good luck with this game, the third axis makes it feel a little more like a starfighter game than a standard FPS!

Updated -
-Tooltips added for things like weapons, equipment, stealth (T key), and force fields
-Added button in escape menu that opens loadout (can also use L key or numpad enter)

Update: Added server list and the ability for users to host their own servers. Please make sure to open the correct ports or set yourself as DMZ host so that people can connect to your game (Check out portforward.com for tutorials on how to do that). Z key now works for boost if you were having problems using ctrl key. Fixed exploits with grapple and teleporting. Increased character limit for chat messages. Spawns are better protected now — if you go into an enemy spawn, expect to die. It’s easier to change your name now, too.

JT reminds me of Justin Timberlake.

Quite Fun. Good Luck with the Contest.
