It’s in-game “currency”
Cool game, one thing that i noticed especially early you don’t see your spaceship moving. Maybe add some stars to the background, or a particle emitter to the ship that shows its movement.
Nice little game. Love the sound effects. You should make the power-ups something other than a cube though, they look too similar to the enemies.
