Spatial audio (3d) not working on Unity 2021.2.16f1

Hello,

Because i want to move from Unity 2019.2.11f1 to Unity 2021.2.16f1, i discovered that the 3d sound (spatial) is not working on Unity 2021.2.16f1.

Tested on Chrome and Opera GX.
Do not forgot to click the page to activate the sound.
Same project with the same settings, just different unity version.

From Unity 2019.2.11f1, you can hear the ball moving to the left and right with your headset.

From Unity Unity 2021.2.16f1, you always hear the sound from the same position.

Where did you get that unity version from? For me 2021.2.15 is the latest…

I’m not aware of any known positional audio problems. The bug will get triaged shortly. I work on graphics and not the web platform, but there are great devs on the web platform that will be taking a look at it.

Finally on issue tracker : Unity Issue Tracker - On WebGL Player spatial audio (3D Sound Settings) does not change direction from where the sound is played

I’m experiencing webgl spatial audio issues in all of the latest LTS versions (2021.3.26 and 2022.3.2).

In Safari:

  1. Audiosources with 3d blend struggle. They play short bursts of sound every few seconds. The import settings for the audio clip (compressed in mem vs. decompress on load) make no difference.

  2. PlayOneShot will play audio dead center — no L/R pan — at full volume, rather than localized in 3d space.

In Chrome:

3d blend sources will play, but audio crackles while the camera moves
