specular via alpha channel

I made an apha channel in the PhotoShop, but Unit doesn`t see it:

Unity sees it otherwise compressed would have gone to DXT1 if thats auto

click on the image button at the top to get the “alpha” view

I did. Look at the screenshot

What format did you use?
if png, did you ensure to use super png, not photoshops perma trash exporter (was crap since PS6 and even by CS5 its still crap)

PSDs work perfectly fine with alpha channels. If your alpha channel isn’t importing properly then create a new Background Layer in Photoshop and make it 100% opaque.

check if the layer in Photoshop is the default “background” locked layer. If so, unlock it (double-click on it, just press enter in the popup dialog).

For some reason, this causes Photoshop to export it differently. For PNG files, for example, this makes them work with the Asset Store package manager.
