The release notes and blog post mention this kind of thing about SpeedTree in Unity 2021.2:
Anything that improves SpeedTree in Unity is welcome news, but this is confusing because SpeedTree is already working with URP in Unity 2021.1 (it performs poorly and looks bad, but it works). Is this trying to say that it will work better in some way? In what way? Is there any more specific information about what’s new for SpeedTree in Unity 2021.2?
If anything, so far SpeedTree in 2021.2 is definitely worse than it used to be.
