Spine vs Unity's "2D Animation" package - what should I know?

Hi,

We are evaluating what tools to use for making a 2D game with skeletal animations, and I was wondering if people here have a comprehensive list of pros/cons for Spine vs Unity 2D animation?

I’m especially interested in having this comparison made from the perspective of a developer that would be experienced in both, and who is good at programming. Which means I would prefer the more “powerful/versatile” tool over the more “accessible/well-known” one

Does Unity’s solution have any major advantages because of the fact that it’s “integrated”? Better scripting possibilities, perhaps?

Did you ever get any input? could you dm any insight on this
