Split-flap display

Hey Guys,

I tried to create an Split-flap display – but I just tried :frowning:
It´s not working. I had created 2 gears and a plane.
The 2 gears got holes, where the plane is going through. I know, it sounds funny – therefor i attached these image.

The mechanism works like here (wiki link) – TECHNIC – here the mainarticle MAIN ARTICLE

So I attached rigid body to all 3 and mesh collider. So my opinion was, that if i rotate the gears, the plane will automatically rotate also. BUT IT WONT.

I´m very sad about it – have someone an idea how to solve this?

I have no idea what one of those is, but if you parent the plane to the gears (by dragging it onto them in the Hierarchy) then it will follow them round when you rotate the gears.

My guess is that you also need the planes to pivot on that axel? You can change their local rotation via a script or something, I dunno really what it is you want to do.
