Split-Screen worm/liero-style action shooter

This is still very early WIP, but I’m at the point where other than fixing bugs I’m also interested in feedback about the movement, weapon behavior and level design, so I decided to put it up here for everyone to be able to try it and help out.

To play this you will need 2 players on the same computer! While I would like to eventually have this work online, it will take me a while to learn how to properly code it to work smoothly.

In this game you will choose 3 out of 7 weapons and use those in combination with your ninja rope to try make sure your opponent runs out of lives before you do.

Keep in mind that there are still quite a few bugs but the game has reached the point where it is mostly very playable and even enjoyable. The grand majority of the graphics are obviously just placeholders, but that shouldn’t affect the gameplay itself. I don’t even have a name for the game yet (still need to make sure I’m decided on an art direction first).

Hello,
Can you make this a webplayer instead of a download? Also… I think you should put up some screenshots with your post. People are not going to want to download something they haven’t seen screenshots for.

Added screenshots.

Not sure how to make this a webplayer. Does it involve hosting it somewhere? Also, I still haven’t made my game not break when you change the resolution while playing (I plan to fix this but have other things to fix that are higher priority right now).

Update:

Added some more blood effects that bleeds based on where you got hit:

Made projectiles come out a bit towards the front of the player object so that larger projectiles can be fired without possibly colliding with walls behind the player.

Many fixes in the explosion LOS checks and some minor weapon adjustments (ballistics, damage values).

Upgraded grenade explosion.

Updated with much better balance and overall flow as well as several bug fixes.

Is the terrain destructible?

No. There is no terrain. All solutions I could find for something like this just didn’t feel right. Besides, most tournaments ended up using little to no destructible terrain anyway, and the game really started to be fun after most of the terrain was destroyed.

I may add destructible objects in the future, once I have all the important stuff fully functional.

too bad… Terrain destructions was a massive part of a fun.
Custom solutions can look good: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/221798-WIP-Nimbatus
Good luck anyway! This game was great, so u have chance to refresh it
